My name is Lara Luthy and I am incredibly honored and grateful to be starting my first year as your President of the Boise Education Association.

I have been teaching at the elementary level and advocating for public education for 26 years.  My core values of compassion, integrity and collaboration have kept me grounded and focused on the work I enjoy doing with students and fellow educators.

Our members, both certified and classified, are among the most professional and committed educators in the state of Idaho. We pride ourselves on our relationship with parents and patrons and strive to continue to be the voice for all of our students.

I am deeply committed to my colleagues, our District, and our profession.  I truly appreciate the work that the Boise School District and the Boise Education Association does to ensure that we remain the best place for educators to work and students to learn.
