Musings of a President... as school districts make the difficult choice whether they should close or not, please remember that not all educators will get time off. Our custodians and maintenance staff will be working to ensure that all surfaces are clean and sanitized. Our food service employees will make shelf-stable food to give to our families. Our administration will continue to make plans to feed and take care of our students. And as the closings come to an end, very difficult decisions will need to be made in how to re-open school and how to move forward. We are all in this together. Support each other. 🍏

Good evening,I have heard from several people via email and Facebook concerning the COVID-19 virus and questions regarding the closure of schools in the Boise School District. Please know that District Leadership met all day today to work with our hospitals (St. Luke's and St. Al's), the CDC, CDH, and the governor's office to gain the latest information to keep our students and staff safe.
They are gathering again tomorrow (Sunday) at 12:00 wilth all stakeholders in education to address the virus and will make any decisions after that conference call.
It is important that we are patient and not reactionary. Decisions must be made with full information in order to protect our community.
We know that each of you is concerned about our students, their well-being, and have many questions moving forward. Kathy and I will be attending a District Leadership meeting on Monday to gain the latest information and we will keep you posted.
Remember - if you or someone you are caring for is not feeling well, please stay home.
Stephanie
